Brad Chittenden
Brad was born in South Africa and was awarded his basic medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in 2000. He moved to the UK to undertake his specialist training in 2002. He has worked in the highly regarded units of Cambridge and Aberdeen. He undertook 3 years of training in advanced laparoscopic techniques under the mentorship of Dr Kevin Cooper. This unit is one of five units in the UK recognised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to provide high quality training in minimal access techniques. Brad moved to Tauranga in 2012 with his partner Jemma. They have two dogs and are expecting their first child.
Brad has published research papers in Human Reproduction Update, The Green Journal and the Scottish Medical Journal. His particular interests are in the management of endometriosis and heavy menstrual bleeding.
Angela Gouldson
Angela attended Otago University where she initially completed an honours degree in Science in 1994. She then studied medicine and graduated in 2000.
Angela then moved to the North Island and undertook her specialist anaesthetic training in Tauranga and Hamilton and completed her fellowship in 2011.
Angela was awarded her fellowship from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2011. She works at Tauranga Public Hospital and Grace Hospital. Her particular interests are in the anaesthesia of gynaecological, colo-rectal and vascular patients.
Angela’s philosophy is to work with patients to ensure the safe provision of anaesthesia with as little post-operative pain and nausea.
Angela is married to Rod and has a busy life with her three children.
